1. Mobile Host Positioning System in UWB Mobile Ad-Hoc Network

A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a wireless communication system which lacks of fixed infrastructure, the Mobile Terminals (MTs) inside are able to communicate with each other without the use of fixed base station. Moreover, the MT itself can act as a router to perform the multihop routes relaying. This feature enable MTs connect and disconnect to the network at any time and location also with the freedom to roam inside Mobile host positioning in an Ad-Hoc Network is a core requirement in many of the mobile computing applications. In recent application GPS System is used to track the mobile device which requires an external infrastructure to be installed to gather the location information. In contrast to this, the proposed project uses the distances between the nodes to build a relative coordinate system in which the node positions are computed in two dimensions. The main contribution of this project is to define and compute relative positions of the nodes equipped with UWB Transceiverr in an ad-hoc network without using GPS
